Whenever you receive gifts or notes of best wishes a hand written thank you card should be sent out.

Be prepared to receive gifts or letters after you send out announcements, or at events.

There are several things to remember when writing a thank you card.
Timing is of the essence! It is great to have thank you notes on so you can write your thank you cards without delay. A few days after receiving a gift is ideal. Try not to let more than a week or two go by without sending out thank you cards. Make sure to say what you are thanking the gift giver for by listing the items they gave you and it is always nice if you can comment on how adorable/ helpful/thoughtful the gift was.
